Rosie, thank you for the videos. This dress is stunning! I will be ordering your summer dress pattern. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Connie

    • Thank you Connie, it has actually been my best seller as a Christmas Dress on my Rosie’s Dolls Clothes website but I’m now out of fabric so will have to find something else just as stunning! It’s awesome that you have learnt lots from these videos and don’t forget to email me photos of your doll clothes so that I can share them in my future ‘Share and Tell’ blogs.
      Happy sewing, Rosie 🙂

Thank you for an interesting tutorial. I just brought this pattern and would like to know if I have to print the pattern at a lower % for a journey girl doll please. Thank you

    • Hi Maureen, yes it would be advisable to reduce the pattern size. You may like to have a read of my blog ‘A Great Tip for Resizing Doll Clothes Sewing Patterns’ as this blog explains how to work out the percentage to resize a pattern. At a rough guess I’m thinking you could try printing the bodice pattern pieces at 90%. You can leave the skirt at full size as it will just add a tiny bit more gathering which will be nice. You may however like to shorten the skirt a little. Do let me know how you go.

It’s 10 pm and I have downloaded the summer dress pattern and watched all the videos, if I could I would stay up and sew them all lol. They will unfortunately have to wait, new to sewing and sleep deprived are probably not a good combination. I am however very inspired , will post pictures as I finish them. Thanks so much Rosie for your great patterns and videos! 😊

    • Wonderful to hear you have been inspired by my suggestions for altering the Summer Dress pattern. Yes, sleep well and enjoy your sewing tomorrow! Can’t wait to see your creations in the group Dawn. 🙂
