Finally, after a few technical hitches, and with Halloween just around the corner, I’m thrilled to be releasing a new 18 ½ inch Cabbage Patch Doll Clothes Pattern today – it’s a gorgeous Angel Costume complete with patterns for the Angel dress, Angel wings and halo!
This pattern is quick and super easy to make. I’m sure the children would love to join in the fun of creating this wonderful costume, especially with the wings where they can use their creativity and various decorative materials such as tinsel or sequins and glitter if you prefer not to use feathers.
This pattern can also be used to make a wedding dress with the addition of a ribbon around the bodice and a veil. Or by changing the fabric from white to a color and adding a ribbon around the bodice line, we have a medieval dress or an evening gown. Wow, the possibilities are endless!
So why should dolls miss out on all the Halloween fun when with this simple pattern you can create a gorgeous costume for your doll so she too can join all the Halloween celebrations!
Remember, when you purchase my downloadable PDF patterns and written instructions, you also receive LIFETIME access to my online video tutorial where I show you step-by-step how to make this great doll clothes pattern.
Happy Sewing
I would like a pattern of tights with feet. Like the one that was made out of a sock. I have a lot of fabric that would make great tights with feet. I do have your pattern that is tights but does not have feet in them. I hate making patterns for dolls. If it was a child then I would not have any problems.
Thanks Pat
Hi Pat, I am so sorry for the delay in replying to your comment (it got lost amongst all the emails I received at the end of the year). If you have my tights pattern already just extend the hem down about 2 ” (5cm), tapering in a little towards the bottom. When sewing the inseam start at the folded side and sew across the toe up and down the inseam and then across the second toe area. You may need to take 1/4″ (6mm) or more off the seam allowance of the inseam and the ‘U’ shape that goes from front to back under the crotch to make them a little tighter fit especially if you have really stretchy fabric. Try a pair with this adjustment and them make further adjustments where necessary.
Let me know how you get on.
Happy sewing
Rosie.
